Assolombarda has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Italian Business Council Dubai and Northern Emirates (IBCD & NE) to enhance trade and investments between Italy and the United Arab Emirates.
📌 The two parties will cooperate to develop and implement various initiatives with the aim of facilitating cooperation and exchange of visions and experiences and arrange direct business meetings between member companies and other initiatives with the aim of stimulating trade and new investment opportunities and supporting the business system in both countries.
📌 The MoU also aims at creating more investment opportunities and cooperation in the sectors of life science and healthcare, agro-food, mechanics, manufacturing, building materials, furniture and lightning, new economy, green projects, recycling, clean projects, the technological sector, new digital technologies and other areas of common interest to the business communities between the two countries.
Assolombarda is the association of more than 6900 companies operating in the Metropolitan City of Milan and in the provinces of Lodi, Monza and Brianza, Pavia and employ more than 419.000 workers locally and several hundred thousands in the whole country.
The MoU was signed at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce by Pietro Sala, Director Institutional Affairs and International Relations, Thomas Paoletti, President of IBCD & NE, and was witnessed by Mohamed Khalid bin Sulaiman , Director of Business Relations at Dubai Chambers, Massimo Falcioni, Secretary General and Vice President IBCD & NE, Alessandra Salina Amorini, Head of International Relations and Expo 2020 Dubai, Fugazzi, Giorgio Fugazzi, Vice President IBCD & NE, Dario Barisoni, Vice President IBCD & NE, Nicoletta Danieli, Vice President IBCD & NE and Antonio Chiantore, Vice President IBCD & NE, and top managers of member companies like Hedi El Karoui, Managing Director at Intesa Sanpaolo, Stefano Iannacone, Director MEA at Mapei, Massimo Cannizzo, CEO at Gellify.
