On the 26th of October 2021, in the framework of our monthly Business Breakfast, we have been hosted by our member DAFZA for an interesting and useful panel which discussed key insights on finance, procedures, certifications and duties around imports and exports in the GCC. 

The meeting was led by Dr. Ashraf Mahate, Dubai Industries & Exports, where Mr. Massimo Falcioni, CEO Etihad Credit Insurance, expanded on the role of the UAE Federal Company Etihad Credit Insurance in enabling local businesses to expand globally, Mr. Rashid Almuhairi, Manager for Custom Procedure at the Tariff & Origin Department, Dubai Customs, talked about the duties and customs rules in UAE, Ms. Vimitha Nangani, Manager for Certification Center, SGS Gulf Limited, highlighted the procedures and certifications for successful export procedures, and Mr. Ivano Coppola, General Manager, CNS Logistics, shared practical aspects around the topic.
